Celebrating 7 Years of Design, Collaboration & Beautiful Homes

February marks seven years since we officially launched Knight Varga Interiors, and we’ve been reflecting on just how much we have to celebrate.

What began as a creative partnership and shared design philosophy has grown into something far greater than we imagined. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most thoughtful and inspiring clients — many of whom have invited us back to design their second, third, and even fourth homes.

That trust means everything to us. It’s allowed us to shape a body of work that feels deeply personal, layered with meaning, and rooted in how people truly live. Every home tells a story, and together those stories form a portfolio that continues to evolve while staying true to our belief in timeless, livable design.

To celebrate this milestone, we’re looking back at five projects that reflect the heart of what we do: creating spaces that feel beautiful, personal, and enduring.

Vancouver Island Family Home

A calm, layered home designed for real family living.

This builder’s own home was envisioned as a neutral retreat — one that feels serene and cohesive while standing up to the realities of everyday life with two teenagers and two cats. A gentle palette flows throughout, creating a sense of calm without sacrificing practicality or durability.

One of our favorite spaces is the open-concept living room, where natural light, texture, and warmth set the tone for the rest of the home. It’s a space defined by layered comfort — inviting, relaxed, and designed to be lived in.

Legacy Lakehouse Retreat

A multi-season retreat designed for connection.

Tucked away on a remote lake along the BC Coast, this home was created as a gathering place for extended family — a place to unplug, reconnect, and make memories that span generations.

The design layers local craftsmanship with cozy textures and heirloom-quality furnishings chosen to evolve alongside the family. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to invite comfort and connection, from the built-in bunk room to the moody dining room that encourages long, lingering meals together.

Duchess Renovation: A Multi-Phase Project

A home that reflects a life well lived.

This project unfolded over several years and in multiple phases for a remarkable client whose home needed to feel layered, gracious, and entirely her own.

Elegant yet comfortable, the interiors weave in feminine touches while remaining approachable and livable. The result reflects her lifestyle — one filled with hard work, time in the garden, visits from grown daughters and grandchildren, and quiet everyday moments that matter most.

New Build Forever Home

A custom home designed to evolve with a family.

With sweeping views and a strong architectural framework, this custom home was designed for a couple building their forever home — a place that balances modern design with warmth and ease.

Natural materials, tailored millwork, and thoughtful custom details bring harmony to the homeowners’ individual styles while supporting daily family life. The result is a space that feels rooted and elegant, offering a timeless backdrop for both everyday living and meaningful memory-making.

Chartwell Residence: The Suite Life

A calm, hotel-inspired retreat at home.

The final phase of an ongoing collaboration with long-time clients, this space was inspired by their love of travel and appreciation for craftsmanship. Designed to feel serene and restorative, the interiors balance refined comfort with thoughtful details that elevate everyday living.

Personal artwork was incorporated throughout, helping tell the family’s story and giving the space warmth, character, and meaning.

Looking Ahead

Seven years in business has shown us that great design is never just about aesthetics — it’s about people, trust, and creating homes that support real life.

To our clients, collaborators, trades, and community: thank you for being part of this journey. We are incredibly grateful for the relationships and stories we’ve been invited into, and we’re excited for everything still to come.

Here’s to the next chapter.
