The September Edit: What We’re Seeing, Sourcing, and Solving
A curated look inside the homes (and design conversations) we’re loving right now.
Statement Powder Rooms
We’re grateful that our clients are embracing powder rooms as spaces to make a statement. This is often one of the most playful rooms in a home — a place where we can introduce bold materials and memorable moments, while still setting the tone for the rest of the interior.
We are loving:
Dramatic wallpaper
Unexpected stone
Custom lighting
Bespoke vanities
Kitchens That Don 't Look Like Kitchens
In many of our projects, the kitchen shares space with the main living areas — and our clients are asking for them to feel just as considered. Some are adding secondary prep kitchens or dedicated stations (think: a coffee and smoothie bar for quick, easy mornings).
We love designing kitchens that blend seamlessly into the home — so that when the lights are dimmed in the evening, the space recedes and becomes part of the overall atmosphere.
What we are specifying lately:
Walnut or rift-cut oak cabinetry with minimal hardware
Layered lighting: low-profile ceiling lights paired with art or library-style lamps
Hidden but luxurious features: built-in coffee stations, secondary pantries, and appliance garages
Bathroom Retreats
For years, clients would say they only wanted a tub for resale value. That’s changing and we’re thrilled. More than ever, clients are leaning into daily rituals and creating moments of pause. Bathrooms have become true retreats, and one of the most carefully designed spaces in the home.
What we are loving right now:
Floor-to-ceiling natural linen drapery for softness and movement
Full slab stone walls with integrated storage
Smart shower systems with digital controls
Ambient lighting layered for mood and function
As we move into fall, we’re feeling inspired by the shifts we’re seeing in both how our clients want to live, and how they want their homes to support that. Whether it’s carving out a space to pause, softening the tone of a kitchen, or layering rich details into a powder room, these decisions aren’t about trends, they’re about intention.
Have a project in mind?
We’re grateful to work with clients who trust us to shape homes that are as beautiful as they are deeply personal.
If you’re thinking ahead to a renovation, a new project, or just want to start the conversation we’d love to hear from you.
