Dog Days of Summer:
A Knight Varga Interiors Update
The dog days of summer have officially arrived — and while we haven’t escaped to Europe or booked a week in Tofino (yet!), we’re soaking up the season right here in the city.
Our days are still full of site visits, client presentations, and design development, but we’re balancing the busyness with small summer joys: a late patio dinner after a long install, a perfectly iced cappuccino in hand, and golden hour walks through Vancouver’s prettiest neighborhoods.
And speaking of walks… our studio dogs have been thriving this season. Reese, our chocolate lab, recently taught our weimaraner puppy, Bleu, how to swim — a proud (and very splashy) moment at the beach. They’ve quickly become the mascots of our summer, reminding us to slow down, breathe, and chase more than just deadlines.
Welcome Isabelle!
We’re delighted to share that Isabelle has joined Knight Varga Interiors as a junior designer. Some of you may have met her in the spring when she interned with us while completing her program at BCIT. With a keen eye for detail and fresh creative energy, she has already been an incredible asset on our projects. We’re so excited for you to see her touch on the work we have in progress.
Project Spotlight: A Home Reimagined
We’re excited to give you a first look at a renovation we recently wrapped up — a home we originally designed 12 years ago, now beautifully refreshed for its new owners. While the professional photos are still to come, we couldn’t resist sharing a few sneak peeks of the details we’re most excited about.
From the sculptural glow of a Matthew McCormick Ova light fixture, to a foyer tile we custom designed that greets guests with personality, to a playroom that feels like pure magic — this project has been a joy from start to finish.
We can’t wait to share the full tour soon, but for now, enjoy these little glimpses into a home filled with character, warmth, and thoughtful design touches.
Homes for the Holidays: Christmas in July!
We're honored to be designing a space for this year’s Homes for the Holidays Vancouver, a cherished annual fundraiser that blends festive magic with interior design. We’ve got a big concept in the works — let’s just say it involves a little glamour, a little green, and a lot of heart. Trish has served on the board for eight years, and while it’s been a few seasons since we’ve designed a space for the tour, we couldn’t resist the challenge this year.
Looking Ahead
If a renovation or new build has been on your mind, now is the time to reach out. Our calendar fills quickly as summer winds down, and we’d love to start the conversation early so we can plan thoughtfully with you. No pressure, only possibilities!
