HOME TOUR: Vancouver Island Family Home
Step inside this newly constructed family home in Comox, BC. We designed it from the ground up to meet the ever changing needs of a young family. We balanced the open-concept main floor with strategic private spaces, creating a home that is both stylish and functional.
Let us show you around…
The Kitchen
The kitchen serves as the hub of the home, connected seamlessly to the great room and dining area. The inspiration for the finishes was drawn from the golf course behind the home and the general green treed outlook of small-town coastal living.
Custom millwork in soft, muted tones is paired with warm metal accents. Stone countertops and backsplashes add organic texture, while hardwood floors bring warmth and character. Bespoke lighting and refined hardware elevate the space with understated elegance.
Designed with Every Detail in Mind
Handmade square ceramic tiles in warm white on the full height backsplash add texture without pattern and balance the dining room’s board and batten wall detail. Open shelving provides the opportunity to display meaningful family objects and functional items
A mix of two millwork style, a vertical slat white oak in a warm taupe and the painted shaker in a soft greyed out green add to the subtle layer of texture in the room and purposefully relate to the millwork in the living room.
The Awarded Mudroom / Laundry Room
"...designed to be a perfect trifecta of mudroom, laundry room and space to store the litterboxes for the four-legged family members. Millwork in a cool and moody Homburg Gray from Sherwin Williams provides ample storage for coats and boots—along with a bench for seating when slipping off the latter—and, in one corner, a playful cat-shaped cut out disguises an entry for the little guys to sneak in and out of the litter boxes... A purrfect mud room indeed."

The Primary Bathroom
The starting point when designing this ensuite was the soaker tub which was situated to take advantage of the view. Our client loves to relax daily in the bath and having a beautiful spot for this ritual was her number one priority.
The Home Office
A quiet functional workspace for shared use from school projects to casual family moments, the result is a thoughtfully layered home office that seamlessly supports both professional focus and family connection.
Award Winning Secondary Bathroom
Sharing is caring. This unique bathroom was designed for double duty being shared between a teenage brother and sister. To make it functional for both getting ready for school, we created private shower stalls for each, a stall for the toilet, a large vanity and separate hair and make up station.
