Lonsdale Condo Transformation | Personalized Interior Design
Project Completion: 2018
Location: Lonsdale, North Vancouver
When a builder-grade condominium in Lonsdale, North Vancouver came into our orbit, it presented a wonderful opportunity to bring personality, warmth, and refined softness to a space that had previously lacked distinction. This project was especially meaningful because the client was the mother of a long-time client — a chance to design a home that feels deeply personal, curated, and uniquely hers.
The original condo gave little away: standard finishes, generic details, and a fairly typical layout that blended into the sea of contemporary concrete construction common in the neighbourhood. Our challenge was to re-envision it as a space that felt lived in and loved, a comfortable yet stylish sanctuary reflective of her tastes and lifestyle.
We began by layering in character through carefully selected finishes. Drapery and wallpaper played a starring role — introducing texture, pattern, and a soft, feminine sensibility that set the tone throughout the home. These elements became the foundation for the furniture selections, art, and accessories that followed.
Furniture was chosen with intention, balancing comfort with a tailored aesthetic. Statement pieces anchor the living spaces, while curated art and accessories provide personality and narrative — evoking both warmth and sophistication. Every piece was sourced with the client’s preferences, lifestyle, and the condominium’s scale in mind.
The result is a home that feels thoughtfully composed from entry to retreat — light, airy, feminine, and deeply welcoming. It’s a refined yet relaxed space, perfectly suited for everyday living and gracious entertaining alike.
This project stands as a great example of how even a smaller urban residence can be transformed through design that prioritizes personality, comfort, and purpose — turning what once felt generic into something genuinely beloved.
